Real Wedding {Nancy & Kyung}

It's Throwback Thursday and since I realized that I have had this blog pending for at least a year and a half now (not quite sure why I never finished) so I figure it is technically a throwback since this wedding was 9.10.11.

 

Nancy & Kyung were a delight to work with. They had attended a wedding I planned the year prior for their friends An & Chris. When I came aboard they had their venue and photographer secured but other then that we were planning from the ground up. Nancy had a very distinct idea in mind of having a "Found" wedding on the beach. She wanted it to look like things were simply acquired over time.

 

We were able to achieve this by using some rustic pieces of furniture, glass vases and lanterns that she purchased from thrift stores. I especially love the purple goblets that we were able to rent from Abbey's. White Wedding Day Events did a beautiful job with the flowers and the simplistic ceremony arch really added to the beach feel of the wedding. We also opted for a Versailles chair instead of using a Chivari. The muted color palette gave the wedding a soft and romantic feel. It was a gorgeous day. Enjoy the photos and video below!

Real Rehearsal: Nancy & Kyung

This is the first rehearsal post for us but I decided that it's the "norm" to post engagement and obviously photos from weddings but it's rare that the rehearsal and rehearsal breakfast/brunch/lunch/dinner are photographed so this was a great opportunity to showcase a couple and their excitement right before the big day.

Nancy & Kyung A.K.A Nan & Ky, were beyond awesome to work with. Granted, I had to push them to do their "homework assignments", they knew what they wanted. A shabby chic (not too shabby) beach (not too beachy) wedding. That is JUST what they got. Devilicious Food Truck catered the rehearsal dinner with specialties like Lobster Grilled Cheese, Shrimp Poboy, and Parmesan Fries. Yum! Everything was a hit!
