Real Wedding {Nancy & Kyung}

It's Throwback Thursday and since I realized that I have had this blog pending for at least a year and a half now (not quite sure why I never finished) so I figure it is technically a throwback since this wedding was 9.10.11.

Nancy & Kyung were a delight to work with. They had attended a wedding I planned the year prior for their friends An & Chris. When I came aboard they had their venue and photographer secured but other then that we were planning from the ground up. Nancy had a very distinct idea in mind of having a "Found" wedding on the beach. She wanted it to look like things were simply acquired over time.

We were able to achieve this by using some rustic pieces of furniture, glass vases and lanterns that she purchased from thrift stores. I especially love the purple goblets that we were able to rent from Abbey's. White Wedding Day Events did a beautiful job with the flowers and the simplistic ceremony arch really added to the beach feel of the wedding. We also opted for a Versailles chair instead of using a Chivari. The muted color palette gave the wedding a soft and romantic feel. It was a gorgeous day. Enjoy the photos and video below!

We mixed things up with square, round and long tables.
Super fun bridal party!
A variety of cupcakes were the choice of dessert at this affair!
Gotta love this custom cake topper from Etsy!
A mixture of square, round, and long tables kept the decor interesting and eclectic
Sea salt in a customized favor bag were given away as favors
One of the sweetest group of girls ever
The guests loved the signature drink, "Nankini"!
Love this photo of the bride and her father!

"Teaser" Post: Elisa & Adam {Real Wedding}

It's rare that we get to post teaser photos just days after a wedding so we were elated to get to see photos from Stephina Photography just 2 days after Elisa & Adam's intimate wedding that took place on August 3, 2013. The ceremony took place at San Diego Mission de Alcala and a private estate atop Mt. Helix. Here are a few of our favorites and look forward to sharing more details and photos soon.

Thanks to Stephina for sharing!

Real Wedding {Martin & Barbara}

About Barbara: Born and raised in Indiana; Attorney turned foodie blogger. Check out her blog (I've personally tasted her food and it's delish!) www.barbaracooks.com

About Martin: Born and raised in Austria; Graphics Programmer in Video Games

How they met: eHarmony (Like so many of our couples, I love it!)

The Planning:
It was such a great experience working with Barbara & Martin. I initially met them at a bridal show where I had a booth set up. I recall speaking with them very briefly but received an e-mail from them the very next day wanting to schedule a meeting with me. We met within the same week and discussed their wedding plans. Immediately I knew I wanted to be their planner and was really hoping they decided that they wanted me to assist with their special day.  Luckily for me they did and the planning and decor discussions began. They wanted pink, pink, pink, a hint of green and help pulling the details together. The end result ended in a beautiful, fun, exciting and pink affair to remember!
The dapper groom and gorgeous and spunky bride!
The couple sawed a log in lieu of a unity candle or sand ceremony. Sawing of a log is an Austrian tradition (In Germany after the wedding bride and groom have to saw a log in half working together. This is called "Baumstamm sägen" {"tree log sawing"}. It should show how they are going to solve problems in their life. Be sure to watch the video at the end of the post to see how cute they worked together on accomplishing this.
Loved these programs the bride custom designed herself!

The fabulous Nancy Stevens rocked all of the floral elements!
